Reflexology

  • Reflexology is often referred as zone and/or touch therapy, it is based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower leg, hands, face or ears correspond with different areas of the body and reflexologists work these points and areas.

  • It is thought that by stimulating certain points on the foot, the body may be encouraged to function more efficiently by helping to improve circulation, eliminate toxins, easing tension and unblocking energy in order to promote a more balanced body.

  • It works on energy pathways similar to acupuncture.

  • Client feedback states that they have found it helpful for a range of conditions including stress related symptoms, hormonal imbalance and many other disorders.

  • Experiences with reflexology sessions vary from a general feeling of relaxation, to a sense of "lightness" or tingling in the body, as well as feelings of warmth, a sense of "opening," or "energy moving" from the practitioner's pressure to the specific body area or organ.
